Adapting for multiple markets: If you’re operating in or expanding into different geographies or sectors, shrink sleeving is an agile and cost-effective way to repackage existing can and bottle stock to reflect the market it’s entering. No need to change the can or bottle – just add a sleeve, pack and you are done!
Seasonal beverages and limited runs: For cost-effective, eye-catching design, sleeving can offer gloss and matt finishes, tactile effects, glow-in-the-dark or thermochromic inks for seasonal specials or full rebrands using digital design. With our shrink sleeving the creative options are all in your hands.
Brand integrity: Coloured bottles are increasingly subject to penalties due to difficulties in recycling them. Shrink sleeving allows beverage brands to switch to more eco-friendly clear options, without losing the brand impact of a block colour appearance. Meaning you keep your branding and shelf presence without impacting on recyclability – now for us that’s a win-win!
If you’re using the right tech, yes! Prism eLogistics is the only UK contract sleever that can automatically raise a container and tuck the sleeve underneath to give that fully printed look. This stops the sleeve from lifting and eliminates what we call ‘smiling’, where the sleeve has an obvious separation from the can or bottle container. No joke – time to get the tuck out of here!
With Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) policy now leveraging fees related to the recyclability of packaging, it’s important to consider how to make your beverage packaging more sustainable.
Our EcoFloat shrink sleeving, which is specifically engineered to improve the sink/float separation process, can be recycled through established PP recycling streams. This makes the sleeve fully recyclable, meaning 100 per cent of a PET bottle and its branding decoration can be recycled.
At Prism we operate a Duty Suspense Account, enabling us to receive, store, and process excise goods, including alcohol, without the immediate payment of duty. The savings are up front, as we provide brands and importers greater flexibility, improved cash flow and more control over how and when products reach the market.
Mixed packs? No problem. However you’re looking to configure your beverage packaging, we can help. Our co-packing capability makes mixed pack a breeze, and whether you want to use trays or go trayless, we’ll have a solution which meets your objectives.
We can provide experienced, friendly and responsive support for the design, production and dispatch of free standing display units. From initial concepts to ensuring cost efficient construction, pack out and delivery to store, we’ve got your in-store retail branding covered.

When it comes to packaging, rHDPE multipack handles are changing the game for canned drinks. They’re weatherproof, easier to pack than paperboard alternatives, and significantly more sustainable. Added to all of this, they’re easier to pack, reducing labour and significantly lowering project costs as a result.
According to a comparative cradle-to-grave Life Cycle Analysis (LCA), 100% recycled rHDPE multipack handles outperform paperboard options (four and six pack) on climate change metrics including acidification, eutrophication, health impact, smog air and energy demand.
In terms of overall global warming potential, rHDPE handles are 2-5 times lower than paperboard alternatives such as carriers and cartons, offering the lowest carbon footprint at .022 to .034 kg CO2 eq.
Lightweight and 100% recyclable, rHDPE handles represent a significant reduction in packaging volume compared to paperboard multipack options, as well as substantially lower CO₂ and energy demand than fibre-based carton alternatives such as cartons and carriers.
We’re seeing a surge in demand for mixed can multi-packs, especially within the wellness category. And, as consumers prioritise customisation, beverage brands are looking for ways to allow shoppers to curate their own multipack selections.
Multipack handles are the ideal solution for mixed packs. Using one simple system which can be colour-matched to the brand, cans can simply be clipped into the handle in whatever configuration is required. This means there’s no need for new carton or carrier designs per mix selection, and that a consumer could feasibly pick 4 or 6 cans of any flavour to create a multipack personalised to them.
As well as this flexibility, and the sustainability of rHDPE handle options, the simplicity of the clip-on handles means they’re easier to pack, saving labour costs, and can be nested on top of one another, meaning there is no need to use trays when transporting to retailers.
