What are FSDUs and CDUs used for?

FSDUs are ideal for promotions and seasonal pushes, new product launches, trial-size and mixed-SKU packs. They’re an eye-catching way of making sure your products stand out for retail customers, and a brilliant way of representing your brand personality.

CDUs, as smaller units, are suited for checkout and impulse applications, and are often used as part of new flavour or new SKU launches. These are ideal for more compact retail environments such as newsagents or kiosks but also sit comfortably in larger spaces such as supermarket checkouts.

How can Prism help with FSDUs and CDUs?

We can manage the process from start to finish. From initial design to printing, our trusted partners can help bring your brand to life, with options including corrugated/paperboard grades and high-quality flexographic or lithographic print. If you’re looking for something special, we can even help with lights, moving parts and other attention-grabbing features. We also offer digital print for low volume or market testing.

Once your units are printed, we can build and assemble at volume. We load the shelves to your specifications (single SKU or mixed) including inner packing and dividers, before applying retailer labels (EAN/SSCC) and securing for transport. Added extras are no problem, leaflets, on pack promos and inserts can easily be integrated into the packing process.

From there, it’s just a case of getting your units where they need to go, and you can reply on our UK-wide distribution network to safely transport your FSDUs or CDUs from warehouse to store.
